once again, comparable size,(Green was actually 5'8") not exact size. and the point once again is that he could have been used like Green to strecth the field.
3 inches and 30 lbs is not comparable size.

That's nice but the OP's question was why LSU never sent Trindon deep?
I answered that earlier. The post in question was in response to another post within the thread.
LSU doesn't utilize speed on the offensive side of the ball. This has already been established and is not arguable. LSu's speed sits in favor of B10 style RB's at LSU, and Miles likes possession receievers.

We have not had a QB that could throw him the deep ball.

I'm sorry but I don't see little Holliday going over the middle much and getting up when he gets kerplunked by Brian Urlacher, Patrick Willis, or Jonathan Vilma.

Did you factor in TH's 42" Vertical?

shite put him at kick returner and that dude would be a beast. I hope the Saints land him with one of the later picks. Not to mention he could be used sparely on offense as well.

Watch your TV in six months. you will "see" it. An enterprising coach and GM will find a niche for Hilliday.

List slot rec. In the NFL that are 5'5. That shouldn't take you long either.
How about make a list of qbs 6'0 and smaller...shouldnt take long either ill go.

Pat White
DJ Shockley
Drew Brees

Yes it's called kickoff returner. He'll also get an occasional reverse, jet sweep, or bubble screen.

I would love to see what Payton does with him...

It doesn't matter how fast someone is, safeties are supposed to be over the top. Most of the time, you throw it up and a WR is trained to either catch it, or make sure it isn't picked. Holliday is too short to stop the interception and/or catch it over a db.

Roger I agree with you 100%. Miles is a freaking joke.

Skyler Green = small, really quick, good 40 time (4.44 if I remember correctly). Seemed to add too much weight when he left LSU and as a result lost a step. Great ability to see the field & dangerous cutback runner on screen and in the return game.
Holiday = Really Small, Quick as a cat! Track star speed, built and conditioned quick twitch athlete. Gets up field well, Vision is suspect, uses raw speed too much.
Holliday is the polar opposite of a guy like Reggie Bush and that's a good thing. He bails off around the end or up the field in the return game and does not look to get too creative. Personally I would rather teach a kid to get creative than try to make a dancing scat back to get up the damn field.
I think his showing at WR yesterday really improved his stock. I think he can do some great things as a slot WR/KR. Someone will take a chance on him and in the right system I believe he can bring the same mismatch problems Reggie Bush.
Holliday is small but so is D. Jackson, it's easy to forget how much Jackson got hammered by the talking heads at the combine when he was weighed and measured. He's working out pretty good for the Eagles.
As to if I feel he was underutilized, I would have to say yes. I am not a negatiger or a Hat Basher but in my own opinion in the last two seasons Garry Crowton has tried to too much and as a result accomplished very little. Our offense was not on the field long enough to feature anyone accept maybe our overwhelmed QBs. It really doesn’t matter how much talent we have on offense or who plays QB, our offensive system sucks.

how come we NEVER threw him a deep route at LSU.
dude he's 5 foot 5, deep covered by 6 ft safeties and cb's
as a general rule a deep ball will be somewhat of a jump ball

Holliday will make more money in Track than FB. Track is his ticket.
So finishing 5th out of 8 in some Stockholm 100 meter dash will get him rich? Please tell us how much the guy who is about the 44th fastest sprinter in the world makes.

Is Holiday expected to bench 225 multiple times?

He's small so he's easy to knock off his route at the line and any DB close to him down the field would have a significant advantage getting to a ball in the air.
He's got a 40 plus vertical. I would have at least tried it a time or two. Put him in motion out of the backfield with a frickin LB trying to cover him. Perrilloux had no problem finding him in the allstar game.
