What proof do you have that he doesn't catch the ball well.
Watching him fight the ball on numerous catching attempts. The fact that the staff tried to move him to receiver for a few years but his receiving was a factor holding him back.

TH can have a serviceable career in the NFL like Gerald "Ice Cube" McNeil
The Ice Cube was a wide receiver who often returned punts and kickoffs. McNeil was 5'7 and 145 lb. He was difficult to get a hold off thus the nickname "The Ice Cube".
McNeil went to Baylor, where he set several reception records. McNeil was an exciting athlete to watch during his career in the 1980s. He was drafted in 2nd Rd 1986 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns. McNeil played four seasons with Cleveland, then Houston Oilers. He made 1 Pro Bowl too.

yeah, you right, Skyler Green used to get knocked off his rout all the time.
the bulk of Skyler's receiving yards was off of the bubble screen...

Again, Height has not a damn thing to do with succeeding in the slot.
when u are 5'5", it has everything to do with it

Holliday will make more money in Track than FB. Track is his ticket. With his size, he probably won't last long at all in the NFL.

once again, comparable size,(Green was actually 5'8")
3 inches different is not comparable

first requisite is a qb who can read the play, second is a qb who can then throw the pass effectively...haven't had that in a while

yeah, yeah, the QB excuse, I get that.

About as long as it will take you to produce a list of 5-5, 160 of NFLers.

Solid? As it stands he still probably won't get drafted.

how come we NEVER threw him a deep route at LSU
Lulz. Just poking him at the line would be enough to disrupt a Holliday fly. Additionally, the height advantage safeties would have on him over the top all but makes that play impossible.

I always wanted to see him run a wheel route out of the backfield and get matched up with an OLB. The WR(s) to that side could've run the corner and safety oh that side towards the middle leaving Holiday up the sideline. I envisioned the play that the Saints ran with Bush on that long TD pass in the NFC championship against the Bears a few seasons ago.
I mean, how hard could that be to try just once, especially with the arm JR had. Between Jimbo and Crowton, where the f was that play?

true that, variety of ways they could have used him instead of using him like they did. If he had went to Fla. his stats might be really impressive.

i agree as a true play it wouldnt neccicarily be be that effective. as a piece of a play i think it could have been. if you send him hauling arse down the field the safties are going to have to move back to cover him, whether or not they could essentially blanket him. this would soften the underneath coverage even if just marginally. since our QB only got through maybe 1 or 2 recievers in his progression why would essentially having holiday practice his sprints be such a bad thing? i said the same thing about shepard...
and for those who say all it would take would be to bump him at the line, you may be right but its all about the mental thing. plus holliday is a shifty little bastard

He has improved his catching skills late in his career. He may get a few chances in the NFL, but he will get more chances as a returner.

Just out of curiosity does anyone know who the shortest player in NFL history is? I just wonder what his chances of playing anything other then a returner truly are?!?!

He's small so he's easy to knock off his route at the line and any DB close to him down the field would have a significant advantage getting to a ball in the air.
You are making sense....GTFO

When they listed him as a RB - he lead all in 40 time, vertical jump and 3 cone drill. 3 out of 4 categories isn't too bad. someone will take a risk with him in about the late 6th round I believe.
