Looking for around 45-50 people. Wedding will be in the Cathedral downtown, so something on that side of town is preferred. Any idea of which of the nicer places have private rooms large enough to accommodate? I'm just starting my research, and I figured I'd look for recommendations here before I began to blindly call.

Had my wedding reception at the Camelot many many years ago. Mike Loupe was the chef and my parents were members. Not a bad place. Foods ok. View is great.

The City Club is a good place.

What about the new Hilton Capital House? Do they have a room? Used to have a big ballroom.

Tsunami? Is there a room at the top of the Shaw Center?

i bet they could do it. if the wedding party books there, im sure you can finagle a discount on either the rehearsal dinner or the bridal parties'rooms.

I've never had a bad experience at Camelot Club for rehearsal dinners.

Yep. Have been to a company Christmas dinner and a couple of legislative receptions in the past year, and they were all well done-nice views and good service, better than decent food. Can't go wrong with any of the big three downtown (Hilton, Camelot, City Club).

I was going to suggest the Camelot Club, as well.

Is this a sit down dinner?

The rehearsal parties in my family are always cocktail parties with good heavy cocktail foods. The Camelot Club does a good job on those. I think they're more fun because everyone gets to move around and visit, like a mini reception. Not the norm, but fun, especially if you get a piano player or little combo. Someone always wants to sing and it's a hoot.

It's not on that side of town, but I'll throw it out anyway. Ruffino's. Excellent service, the food was on point and we got compliments galore.

I had mine at the Faculty Club about 8 years ago. They did a fantastic job, and for what we got their prices were lower than the other venues we received quotations from.

I highly recommend the Faculty Cub
