Getting a top 8 seed is extremely important for LSU to make Omaha. To do that, we at least have to be in the top 2 in the SEC. Usually, the top two teams have around 10 loses in conference, so getting swept in the first weekend was really bad. According to last year, LSU can't have a long losing streak and get to Omaha by being hot at the end of the season(won sec tourney, but lost to many during the year and had to go to UCLA). These sec loses do matter and losing a bad non-con game in the same week can only hurt chances of getting top 8 seed. Super regional at box = Omaha.

Mandeville, I know Foley said muschamp was the first choice, but do you not think they felt out Mullen and others? Also, if B. Hoke was the guy then why wouldn't they just fire RR and hire him? Do you think he really has to consider whether to leave SDSU for Michigan?

He would be a good head coach and I'm pretty sure that UT is #7 in the country in total defense.

defenses are keying on him and I am sure our brain trust that, runs the offense, will start to use him like reggie bush. Or not.

Stats are for losers.....again not saying I expected the 85 Bears, but come on to say this guy deserved a raise and extension after such a mediocre performance is insane. And hell if we would have lost him, if Miles is worth his salt would have gone out and found a suitable replacement.

Hahaha...do we watch the games? Do you? You just agreed with mitch mustain being the best qb in the sec! Bottom line, teams scored less under chavis. I think miles needs to go, but I don't think chavis' D was the problem last year. It is not the DCs fault if the offense can't pick up a first down. So...he should bring the house and risk giving up a touchdown? You're right! I'm sure our offense would have easily made those points because we were scoring at will last year(sarcasim). You talk about the Top in the UF game and how they ran up the field on us, but what would we have done with the ball! nothing! The D kept us a play away from winning a game with LSU basically playing no offense. He is a name coach for a reason, so let him coach.
