Why is Gary crowton still the OC at LSU?

Am I the only one who thinks he should have been fired after the bowl game?

He is mediocre at best, every where he has been his offense has declined year after year.

1M buyout was the issue with Crowton.

LSU thought it would be too much for the 1M buyout and then another 600,000 to hire a new offensive coord.

'09 really exposed some flaws in Crowton's approach. Namely, the failure to utilize Shepherd, the inability to simplify things, and the preference for the sensational over the vanilla but effective.

On the other hand, how much could any OC have done with such a poorly performing OL and a tentative QB?

Even though we showed hardly zero improvement offensively from our 1st game to our last, I feel that this was mainly due to poor coaching and poor player development. I think it's pretty obvious that Les & Gary have now fixed all these problems.
