IF we keep Crowton due to money issues only

that to me is the absolute worst possible outcome. If Miles just decided Crowton was his guy, then fine, I think he's stupid for sticking with him but whatever. But if what I just heard is true(Crowton wants his full $1 million owed, TAF won't go over $700,000, Miles refused to pick up the rest nor will Miles fire Crowton outright), then it's the most fricked up situation ever. Now we have an OC hanging around who knows he's not wanted, and is just cashing a check till he leaves. fricking awesome.

Some guy swore Crowton only had two days left earlier today, or was it Croton? It was one of those guys.

Crouton. The staff is going on a diet.

If Miles truly cared about LSU, he would pay Crowton's buyout personally.

If that's the case I will give TAF a call and let them know they can forget about my donation if crouton stays......

Maybe it will work out like it did for Auburn and we will go undefeated next year.

Maybe we can reach the Tigers dream season - go undefeated, untied, unscored on - then fire the coaching staff and rescind the scholarships of all the starting players.

btw - I want Crowton and Miles gone - both if possible.

Nobody came asking me for money, and believe me, TAF is not shy about passing the offering plate. This one doesn't get much traction. Miles not having the want to fire one of his coaches does. Blind, and I mean blind, loyalty, will be his downfall, IMO. As others have said, see DiNardo/Tepper, Mora/Carl Smith, and from the past, Mac/Charlie Peavy.

Everyone needs to calm down and keep things in perspective. It's not Crowton's fault. He's had to work with young players on offense. Once these guys become 5th year seniors, you should see some improvement.

I think if TAF does not want to buyout Crowton it is because they expect a need to clean house in December.

either way LSU is showing it's not serious about matching alabama and UF in the arms race to win a national title by retaining miles and crowton.

If they are worried about saving a million dollars by keeping him, they might end up costing the program 10 million.

If Miles was smart, he'd be the ring leader of getting rid of Crowton for a little "CYA".

This explains why RS and RR are not factors in the offensive game plans. No red shirt means no 5th year for them.

I think you meant Bama.

And by the by, UF is horrible about paying their assistants. They are very very reluctant to shell out top dollar to get quality assistants.

If you look at the trend of who they hire its typically guys who have good resumes but that have recently been fired from higher positions and are looking to rebound...

i agree dan, though meyer put a pretty hefty pay raise on the table for strong to stay. i guess my focus is more on miles and our keeping him because we're afraid of the monetary issues. i just don't want to see us get cheap, because i know if we make the commitment to spend the money and bring in a great coach it will pay off.

If I were Les this would piss me off. This kind of disrespect is out of line for a for a national chamipionship coach. He should show TAF and resign.
