Were sitting at 6-1 with a remaining schedule that looks like
Tulane
@ Alabama
@ Ole Miss
Arkansas
Im gonna say we go 4-0 from here on out of the season, only because our defense is the best i've seen it since 03 and we'll play for the NC game. What do you guys think.

It's BCSNC or nothing. No shot at a BCS at large bid. I guess there is a small chance we could win the SEC and not get in the title game.

I disagree. If we lose to an undefeated Florida twice and no one else I think we get the sugar.

Winner of SECCG goes to title game and loser goes to sugar bowl. We make it to SECCG and yes

I don't think so. If Alabama only loses to us and we lose to Florida again, I think Bama gets in the sugar bowl ahead of us.

We have to beat Bama, and run the table(because of the 2 team-BCS conference restriction). If we don't beat Bama, all other avenue's are closed IMO.

No kidding....

A. '03 Defense was a whole 'nother level..a lot more so than even the '07 team

and

B. '09 team's D is much better than '08's...but not even a Top 10 D (See USC and Tennessee)

07!? That defense had so much talent, and did you see how much points they gave up!?

Its BCS NC or nothing if we beat Bama and lose to Florida, unless Bama loses another SEC game. That's highly unlikely unless they fumble 9 times against Auburn.

I was only stressing how ridiculous good the '03 team was in comparison to ANY of our defenses within the last decade or so

5-0 from now on, doubt it, but wish so. You are missing LA Tech on 11/14. I think it will be more like 4-1 from now on. 10-2 record plus bowl game is pretty good.

FYI, the loser of the SEC CG does not automatically mean a trip to the Sugar Bowl. In fact, the loser of the SEC CG does not necessarily get a BCS bowl game, i.e. 2005 losing to Georgia in the SEC CG and settling with the Peach Bowl.

My projection is a Bowl game Jan 1 perhaps Capital One Bowl.

I just got off the phone with the AD at Louisiana Tech. He said they decided to schedule a game with us on Nov 14 so guess we'll have 5 games now

Only 2 teams can go to BCS bowls in the SEC. Period. Get it.If we don't beat Bama(which would give us 2 losses),the we would have to hope FL and Bama have 3 losses to jump either one of them for the BCS,since each would have beaten us on the season(taking the head to head). No scenario gets us in,unless we beat Bama.
