Listened to the Gottlieb show on ESPN radio on the way home yesterday. He had Pete Fiutak on the line and they both said that we are the biggest phony in America.

That's a bit harsh, but there's good reason why many feel LSU is overrated, including a lot of LSU fans.

That is so true, i don't understand why the media starts complaining about rankings when they are the ones that vote. Of course, who would ever think that the media would ever admit to being the problem?

Based on their play, they are very overrated. I sure hope our coaches and players are listening to what everyone thinks of them.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but LSU is not responsible for where it's being ranked. LSU has gone out and played games and won. Ugly wins, but they've won them. Running down LSU for where he and his buddies have us ranked is both stupid and childish.
I'm not a big proponent of college football playoffs, but if there was a way to TOALLY get asshat reporters out of the mix when deciding which teams play which for the title, I might consider it based on crap like this.

No...I know who he is. But Herbstreit was doing the same shite yesterday. It's just funny to listen to reporters who are responsible for the rankings complaining about the rankings. It would be one thing if the Coaches Poll had LSU at #4 but the AP had them at 15...but they don't.

One time when I was driving through mississippi, one of the sports talk guys referred to Mike and Mike as "The Fat One and The ****." It was the most appropriate description of their show I had heard.
