my mistake
they need a recommendation for friday night for dinner
I am sure they would walk or cab it if need be
their concern is the size of their group

Jacques Imo's takes reservations if you have a party of 6 or more. It's by far my favorite place to take people who haven't been to NOLA.

they are mcneese fans
don't make it too good, they won't know what to do with it

Mr. B's may fit the bill or even Muriel's....that would be on the upper end of casual.

they want to walk
Mr B's is a great suggestion

Tommy's in the Warehouse District. Farthest walking distance, but defiantly doable and you can say after at the wine bar or many of the warehouse bars.

Don't claim to be the expert on N. O. dining.
But Mr.B's was surprisingly very disapointing on my last visit (Cold Gumbo which I had to send back and overcooked BBQ shrimp which I should have sent back).
While Palace Cafe was very surprisingly awsome.
And they could handle a big group no problem.
My mouth waters just thinking of that pork shank.

I agree that Mr. B's would fit the bill.

Isn't palace cafe only about a block further walk than Mr B's?

Maybe he is back in town to not have Tom Fitzmorris designate his stops.

BlackenedOut guy wrote a post about talking to Bourdain earlier this week.
