Not white trash, the vast majority of people want quick and easy and will sacrifice some quality to get it. I personally avoid processed food whenever I can. When I 1st started cooking in my 20's I used stuff like Velvetta and cream soups all the time, until I learned a better way.

One of the problems of processed food is that you start thinking that's the way it is supposed to taste. It's like a kid who drinks nothing but grape Kool-aid, give him a glass of real grape juice and he won't like it.

Now Miracle Whip and Cool-Whip, that's white trash.

Velveeta has its place. Where would I be without broccoli rice casserole? On the whole though it is extremely rare that I cook with it.
