This guy SteveDallas just can't let it go and sounds like a bitter fool. All the others acknowledge LSU was the better team.

i think its funny that they think a 5-1 win is a blow out on par with an 11-4 game.

I think Texas's game 2 win was superior to LSU's win in game 3. To hold that LSU offense to ZERO earned runs is amazing. The fact a freshman did it makes it even more amazing.

i agree it was an amazing pitching performance, obvisouly the best pitching performance in maybe the whole 09 cws, BUT a 4 run game is not a blowout.

the best team wins in a series--if it was just game one you can understand an argument

I don't remember anybody having to be "talked down" like that one td.com, though.

My favorite part is the fuzzy math

quote:

LSU scored a high of 11 runs (how many earned?) last night, and Texas best game was 6. Still, pretty even.

Really? 11 is pretty even with 6?

Obviously the only game where LSU was obviously better than Texas was the last one. The first game was very close and the second game was of course a Texas win. Based on those numbers the teams really weren't different. But of course those numbers he uses are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to relevant baseball stats. maybe he should put more effort into backing up his point with statistics that actually mean something. When he does that, then he should us concrete comparisons between the numbers instead of relative terms like "pretty even".

I distinctly heard Garrido in the post-championship game news conference say, "LSU was BY FAR the best team we played this entire season." Maybe SteveDallas should view and listen to Garrido's comments.

What did you think when Matt Leinart said that the better team didn't win after the 2006 Rose Bowl? Did you think he sounded bitter and stupid?

I agree but it sure felt like a blow out at the time.

Hey at least we now know what to say when a Longhorn comes in here talking shite: "Don't be Aggie."

I'm impressed with how so many of the responses to the OP resoundly said LSU was the better team. That's some class that I didn't expect to read on a Texas board after my experiences with Texas fans in Omaha.

I love the D-R-U-N-K picture with the cheerleaders. They seem to think we take that as an insult.

Its clear this Idiot is sick that they lost and is trying to justify things to himself. The other posts after the first one are good texas fans and seem like smart people.
