Tomorrow the whole BCS v Playoffs issue will be brought to a subcommittee in Congress. What say you about it?

I hope this gets dismissed after 5 minutes of talking about it. Don't they have better things to talk about?

Stupid for two reasons:

1. The government has zero reason to get involved with college football, ESPECIALLY at this time.
2. The BCS is fine.

The BCS sucks. But, Congress sucks worse.

I think it's bullshite. It's just one more aspect of our lives that the government wants to control. It's all about fricking money

There are bigger fish to fry in D.C. than the BCS... Your tax dollars at work.

I suspect that College football will be like the housing market in a few years.
Barney Frank and Chris Dodd have nothing to do since they fixed Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac.

there's a lot of money here at stake, if we get a playoff an SEC team will win the MNC at least 50% of the time, if not more.

Per this thing called the Constitution I don't think college football is within the purview of Congress.

This is some stupid shite. All we need is the government in the middle of football.

Is nothing sacred?

All because Pete Carroll cries so much, and Barrack NoBama voiced his opinion about the need of a playoff system.

Wish they both would jump off a cliff.

Truth be told, as much as I love college football, every minute this debate might keep congress from taking action on the war, homeland security, the economy, health care, education, crime or any of the other things that would REALLY hurt to have Congres screw up is a minute well spent imo. If we can have an economic policy, or an energy policy, or a national defense policy, or a foreign policy, or a criminal justice policy, or a health care policy without congressional frick-upedness, I would gladly pay the cost of a clusterfrick National Championship system in college football.
