I'll start with Visko's Seafood in Gretna. They used to have a killer crab salad.

Cascio's on 18th in Monroe. A few great fish dishes and one of the best beef filets I've ever eaten.

I used to love Trinity's in BR. Also Zorba's.
ETA: Yes, I know Zorba's was Greek not LA food, but I really miss it.

I am not kidding when I say I would pay $500 for a meal at leruths.
I miss manuels, ugelesich's, mandich's, Enola prudhomes, and bella Luna.

Forgot all about Leruth's. Ate there once. Fish in a paper bag, if I remember correctly. Fantastic.

mandich's
That was a great restaurant, I last visited in April 2002, it was as if I stepped into a time capsule from 1958.
It was a business lunch and I had this crusty Texas lawyer with me, we were meeting some attorneys from an old New Orleans firm. My Texan friend said before we went in that he wasn't "going to eat no damn fishy stuff, I hope this place has a steak". The guys from NO cajoled my friend to try shrimp remoulade and trout meneire covered with crabmeat. When we left my meat-eater said "that was the finest meal I've ever had in my life". I know it sure was one of mine.

good story.
You are well versed on Nola eateries. That place was a hidden gem in da bywater.
It was byog (bring your own gun) place.

Ate at Mandich a few times when in city for work and we all had guns. Great meals!
Was supposed to to take wife there before Saints' pre-season game three days before Katrina hit
