What would you shoot at the Masters if you could play?

Honestly, what would your actual score be if you played tomorrow under the same conditions as the pros with the pressure of the huge crowds and TV.

I think at best I would average a triple-bogey so that would mean 72 + 54 = 126.

Playing down? Honestly 150ish. Friends of mine have been playing on the Louisiana amateur tour and with bad conditions have put up 112's on courses here. Playing from the tips at the Augusta and playing down would mean triple digit for 99% of the posters here.

Playing it down = 155
Using a foot wedge and 1 mulligan per 9 = 150

You working Friday? I am off. Wanna try to go play at Spanish Trail. I am thinking maybe in the afternoon when the morning rush is gone.

I don't think that people realize just HOW elite the guys on the Tour are.

I think that I could easily break 150.

I'm not going to say if I'd break it coming from above or below...

The US Amateur Champ (25+ year olds) is from the MS Coast. There was an article yesterday about him because he is playing in the Masters.

quote:

Wilson has been back and forth to Augusta four times for 15 practice rounds. The lowest he has shot was 73, the highest 81.

and

quote:

"It's soooooo long now," he says. "You can't afford to mishit a drive or you'll be hitting a 3-iron into a green that was designed to receive 9-iron or wedge shots. Some of those par-4s are so long that if you mishit your drive, you might be hitting 3-wood second shots."

It was really funny a few years ago when they lengthened Augusta to me because people like Barkley were saying they were trying to Tiger-proof the course due to racism. To the contrary, the essentially made Tiger one of the few that can win there.

probably 130-140 from the tips on those greens. If I had a caddie it may make a huge difference though. I think I would play every par 4 like a par 5 and every par 5 like a par 6
