It is time, obviously, to start your very own NGO. The Federal Reserve has revealed that US NGOs have more in assets than the combined 2025 GDP estimates for Japan, Germany and India combined.

Does the fed data breakdown the sourcing? How much is from private and public sources?

Well, the way I look at is like this.

If public (taxpayer money) is used at only 10% of the 14.2t then private more than covers enough funds to not be involved in NGOs from the public side.

If it's the inverse then my tax money that I'm paying is going to way more NGOs than I want and it needs to stop.

I'm only okay with a very small percentage of tax payer money to go to NGOs (<5%) and even those should be heavily scrutinized.

No tax money should be going to NGOs

There should be more made of this waste of our money.

Our taxes should be going to very limited things. If we did that then we could lower taxes more.

So no public money should fund NGOs, Congress rape slush funds, and other nonsense.

This

There is no justifiable reason federal tax dollars should be taken and distributed to fund activities outside of the operation of the Federal government.

it is past time for NGO's to become independent of government money

make all 'charity' be individually motivated = like it used to be.

Our tax dollars should really fund our defense, the federal agencies, federal parks and such, and be there to help support infrastructure for the country via grants to states.

No public money should be used to prop up the NGO, let Congress have a free liquor store and pay for them to rape people. Our taxes are being taken for straight up fraud and if it’s not fraud most are going to shite that shouldn’t be funded by us.

Interest group "draws attention" to a "problem"

Captive legislator proposes bill to "solve" the problem with $$$$

Same interest group sets up an NGO to "facilitate" the services necessary to "solve" the "problem"

Bill sends $ to the NGO

NGO spends less than 5% of funding on the "problem"

"Problem" is never solved

Rinse
Repeat

The second question I would have is how they define NGO. I have a suspicion that churches are included in that definition

*ETA: Looks like that suspicion is correct

The number isn't for "NGOs" it's for "Nonprofit Organizations"

Churches are non-profits

We would all be well in our rights to not pay taxes until this is cleaned up.

However the IRS would absolutely hammer anyone on the right that dared do that.

That’s an excellent question. I’m very interested to know the answer. I suspect it is heavily from federal funds, but let’s see.

ETA: You make a good point about churches. They are definitely considered NGOs, and they hold A LOT of property.

I'm only defending good rhetoric and attacking dishonesty/bad rhetoric.

What do you have against churches and the private donations that fund them, exactly?

It's not even "NGOs". That term is used dishonestly by the content creator posted in OP. The data is for "non-profits".

And yes, I imagine churches possess the supermajority of that amount. If you look at the chart in my post, the increase in total assets tracks the increase with your garbage prosperity bible mega church industry that's exploded in recent times.
