This season is shot, but at least the future is looking super bright. In the three games against Mississippi State, Serna and Braun accounted for 15 of LSU's 30 hits. Nice to see these kids taking advantage of their opportunities and giving their all to carry the offense.

Miss. St. series:
Serna- .571 BA, 3 HRs
Braun- .538 BA, 4 BBs

Serna got some crazy power for a freshman. We must get these guys back next year.

Ruckert hit the ball on the screws 3X today and had nothing to show for it.

I am so encouraged by this weekend. Many are upset, but this was awesome to see.

BRUAN will only add power next year. 3 of his hits were near HR

Serna is going to be a monster, this weekend gave me hope for next year offensively.. Serna, Braun, Patrick and Ruckert showed what their capable of.. Ruckert hit the ball hard this weekend, Serna is just strong af, Braun has really shown discipline at the plate and has power

They are definitely both bright spots.

I observe that DURING JJ’s post game press conference’s during this slump he has realized he could have handled his roster better/differently. Kept & developed recruits rather than building a “team” from without. He has been demonstrating that with recent coaching. IMHO he is the best coach in college BB & I look forward to this weeks schedule.

Unfortunately with the new age of college athletics, going to cost to keep these guys. Their recent success is going to drive the price up.

Better spent on them than going in the portal for unknowns.

We’ve yet to see it happen to LSU baseball yet. Not saying it can’t, but it’ll be interesting to see. We’ve lost guys but it’s never been someone who has already broken out and we really wanted to keep. That I can remember at least.
