I admit he’s been guilty of overthinking some circumstances this year, but he’s to the point of just throwing things against the wall to see what sticks.

He’s still the same coach who has given us 2 National Championships in the last 3 years, and he deserves the benefit of the doubt.

Coach Johnson will get this thing figured out. It may not be this year, but I guarantee that he will right the ship next season.

There were some misses this year talent wise, and I promise you that Coach is aware of those miscalculations. He will be driven by those misguided scouting reports, and he won’t rest until this derailment is corrected.

Have faith in Coach Johnson. If anyone is worthy of a mulligan, it’s him. Geaux Tigers!

This isn't a mulligan. This is inexcusable.

When you flip most of your roster you need your transfers to hit and to avoid injuries. LSU did neither.

And when I say flipped the roster I’m not talking about guys transferring. Those guys graduated and went to play pro ball.

He likely agrees

You think he’s okay with the results this season?

What's the alternative? Throwing a fit and saying the best coach in the country needs to be fired?

He definitely gets a pass. He won two championships in 3 years.

Some of them defended Miles right to the very end.

Jay used to put in long hours in the office preparing for opponents and recruiting. You haven’t heard much of him doing that this year.

He's needed mulligans 3/5 years he's been here...

Yeah man. Not winning the title with that stacked pitching staff in 2022 was a real letdown.

I know it's a bad year. Ole Piss had a really bad one after they won it and Mike brought them back. Took him a while but he has them back. I know LSU will be back but something just feels weird. I mean coaching staff wise.

These statements are so ignorant when you take in the modern landscape of college baseball. You don’t get 5 stars sitting on the bench anymore waiting to play. They go somewhere else. You have to evaluate talent correctly 100% of the time. He missed. Big deal. You get after it next year.

This is a you thing. Nothing feels weird. It just feels like one of those seasons. You rarely lose every single close game you play in. That's just not something that happens.

When it rains, it pours. It has rained all year long.

Next year we'll be preseason #1 and I'll confidently bet an absurd amount of money that we'll end up in Omaha.
