To Landry and his team that read this board (they do), thank you for the strong message and words in your PC this afternoon.

You mentioned warrant sweeps and collaboration with NG and fed entities in areas of high crime. Us as BTR natives, are begging you to follow through on this.

The words are great, but your office with any fed help we can muster need to strike fear into the hearts of these monsters. Real action is needed now.

Also if you find a way to strike down lenient judges from the bench as you mentioned, that alone would pay dividends for years.

To those who didn’t see it:

Key takeaway from press conference:

New Orleans is safer than Baton Rouge right now

For sure, and likely an idiot.

But on this topic, he seems to be our idiot

Idiot or not, *if* he hits crime hard in BTR I and many others like me will vote for him for reelection.

Crime is one of the biggest issues with our state. Yesterday was a tragedy, but this is a huge opportunity to win over the voters in LA if he puts his money where his mouth is.

So few that vote actually realize that simple fact.
Local elections affect locals much more than Presidential elections.

Landry hit a grand slam in the bottom of the 9th with that press conference.

I was a strong critic of his before, but I'm now fully on board with Jeff Landry. He has my unwavering support.

Which judge? No state judges are appointed as far as I’m aware.

ETA: anyone downvoting, feel free to explain or answer the question. Was it an ad hoc for some reason? Did one of the shooters get a light federal sentence in the past or something? What am I missing?

Takeaway: pay LSU Football Coaches more. Pay lip service to stopping crime.

There needs to be a how it started -> how it's going meme of that presser... "don't stereotype our young people" to "throw em ALL in angola".

Eh - ALMOST

Him: "I'm going to say what everyone else is afraid to say"

Me:

Him: "The problem is the parents"

Me: so close.....

I thought he was gonna say IT. The big IT. The thing that everyone is ACTUALLY afraid to say, because they'll get fired from work and endanger their families.

But yea, he did a good job. It's refreshing to see someone with some authority go directly after the horrible hug a thug program.

A lot of people here dont like him, but to expect anyone to come in and fix Louisiana's deep-rootrd issues in 2 years is ludicrous.

He has made significant improvements in LSU, which was rapidly turning into an embarrassment.

Give credit where it's due.

So his solution is blame the parents and tweet about the judges.

So just repeating everything we already know.
