Man accidentally shoots wife while buying a grocery store in Bossier

A weird story out of Bossier.
Maggio Grocery & Deli is a neighborhood store in Bossier. It’s been owned by the Maggio family for over 100 years.
The current owner, Vince Maggio, is also a Bossier City city councilman. He was meeting with a couple earlier this month about selling the store to them when somehow the husband “accidentally” shot his own wife. No further details have been released.
It took three weeks for Bossier police to arrest the husband.

You’ve never seen a small world like the one of folks of Italian heritage who live in Shreveport and Bossier. Most of them act like they’re all closely related to one another.

Monroe area Italian families are that way also. Most of them moved up from NO area in the 20’s and 30’s. Growing up around a few Italian families the ones my age were the first generation(80’s and 90’s) that weren’t marrying other Italians.
