What's your pick for a good drive to bring some out of towners?

As many people who hate the Whiskey Bay Bridge, the Henderson Swamp is beautiful...

If you’ve got the time, the drive down LA-23 to Venice is a wealth of sights, smells, and history.

Although the smells may not be what you’re after.

This may be random, but a drive down 1 from BR all the way to Grand Isle is an interesting full day-trip drive. I say that as someone not from the state. The first time I did it, it was like entering a world I never knew existed in the US. It's so oddly beautiful and depressing at the same time. It's like driving to the edge of the world.

There aren't that many but 165 north from SWLA to Monroe isn't bad. Always thought Columbia LA was a nice looking town.

I can tell you where every hidden cop sits along that drive. There are plenty of them.

I-10 from Kenner-to-LaPlace and/or I-55 from LaPlace-to-Ponchatoula.

US 190 from Slidell to Mandeville through LaComb is a nice drive.

Take Hwy 68 to Jackson, La then come around Hwy 10 to St. Francisville. Spend some time in St. Francisville and if you up to it make a trip to Lake Rosemound and come back through Sligo Rd.

or

Tour the Lousisiana Bayou's like Lake Verret, Lake Marapaus, Tickfaw. Hit a few river bars and enjoy.

Any of the roads down to the Gulf are interesting like Grand Caillou south of Houma - some scenes, some marsh, some depressing homes/camps/trailers

307 through Kraemer/Bayou Beouf
Hwy 90 past NO East by the lake
LA 22 through Maurepas

I know this will come as a shock to some, but a very popular cyclist trek runs through Louisiana. It's called The Southern Trek. It starts in San Diego and ends in Jacksonville. And I'll be damned if it doesn't take you right through Bogalusa.
