depends on how they finish the season, but could be pre Skip or his first year. We have only missed a regional a few times since then, and if they can't win some games, they will rival the worst of the worst.

2024 had a tough stretch, but 2026 is just not playing competitive baseball overall
6-10 in SEC play right now, need to get to 14 wins to make the field of 64, so you have to win 8 of the last 14 to get to 14 wins (.571 winning percentage) Time is slowing running out to get conference wins. With a series at Georgia and at Mississippi State remaining, we will see. The two remaining series at home are SC and Florida and Florida has been getting hot. Really needed a series win this weekend, and for sure don't need to get swept.
yes, I know you can sometimes makes the post season with 13-17 conference record, but not sure 13 will get you in this year

2024 was an error on a routine fly ball and base hit from winning a regional against a really good UNC team

they are rapidly approaching the worst LSU baseball team since Skip took the reigns in 1984. They Need 6 more wins to tie the 29 wins Paul had in 2007, his first year at LSU! This team is generationally bad and one of the worst I’ve watched in 40 years! I think it’s safe to say the wheels have completely fell off the 2026 season!
