Utah Supreme Court ruled against a Republican-led amendment tied to a redistricting effort... just TWO weeks after a judge attended a party at the home of the lawyer who fought against it
She’s now UNDER INVESTIGATION for allegedly having a romantic relationship with this lawyer.

If not, then judges have lower standards than CPAs. You would definitely lose your CPA license if it came out you were sleeping with a client and didn't remove yourself from any client engagements involving that individual. What she did here seems much worse than that.

Probably just removed as a judge and prohibited from ever being a judge again. I doubt there's a disbarrment unless they could prove an actual coordination and or conspiracy. A basic conflict of interest that may not have actually impacted the case isn't likely going to get You disbarred.
We had a judge around here get removed as a judge because he had and affair with his secretary and she became pregnant. They never disclose this and ultimately her and her husband divorced and the judge presided over the custody. Case of what was his biological child. He's still an attorney practicing to this day and even ran for district attorney a few years ago
