IDF to maintain positions in southern Lebanon during truce, Israeli official tells 'Post' •

Trump invites Netanyahu, Aoun for historic White House talks after separate phone calls.

Can anyone provide me with the link to the pope's statement on this truce negotiated by the President? Or the link to his statement regarding the proposed peace talks at the WH? I'm waiting eagerly.

He was quick to comment on the war with Iran. And call the President, and others, warmongers.

I am now looking for a similar quick statement giving the President credit for the truce and proposed peace talks. And for other peace agreements he has negotiated.

Has anybody seen any?!?!

Whatever you do not NOT ask cubbies.

She does not want to talk about it even though she will get in her point before literally telling you she doesn’t care about yours.

Here's the main difference:

The Pope is actually spreading the message of Christ.

Trump is hanging out with Guy Fieri at a UFC fight night, posting AI photos of himself as Jesus.

Are you a sahm, as well?

I made thread about it but can no longer found it.

Family told me about this place.

Old man who has seen things, and things aren't looking hopeful.

The Jesus photo was the nail in coffin. How can you defend that? What if Joe Biden did that?

Joe Biden claimed to be a Catholic who supports abortion. And he is allowed to get communion. How can you defend that?!?!

And the senile fool did much, much worse as we are slowly, and painfully, finding out. So that argument, I'm afraid, won't work.

I didnt defend it then. If I was here I would have said that.

You, on the other hand, haven't answered question:

How do you defend what Trump posted and then lied about it being a doctor?

What a time to be alive, kinda hope an asteroid takes us all out so space can get back to normal

Even most Catholics can’t say that while maintaining a straight face.

Can you say it "well its different when trump does it".

Where are all the humanitarian efforts? He'd rather kiss Jake Paul's butt and shake hands with that Tate fella.

What in the world happened to the republican party? Is this what it has become? Wake up

I wouldn't expect the Pope to send congratulatory notes because we got a ten-day ceasefire on an Israeli war of aggression.

Fun fact: Lebanon was literally created to be a homeland for persecuted Christians in the Middle East. And it was for a few decades.

The moment Muslim invaders thought they had the numbers, they started a civil war that lasted 15 years because they didn’t want to live with the same Christians who made them part of the country.

Thousands of Christians were massacred, Muslims became the majority, Hezbollah took over, and the country hasn’t known peace ever since.

Lebanon is the first and ultimate example that coexistence between Christians and Muslims is quite literally impossible.

It’s mind-blowing that anyone would use it as an example of coexistence, let alone the Pope

I'm a practicing Catholic. And I need to say something that's going to make a lot of people uncomfortable.

Nigeria. The Sahel. India. Syria. Bangladesh. Pakistan. Hundreds of Christians have been murdered this year alone. Churches burned to the ground. Pastors kidnapped and killed. Communities that have practiced their faith for centuries are being wiped out.

Pope Leo XIV has said almost nothing.

No named condemnations. No emergency visits. No breaking of protocol. Just quiet platitudes about dialogue and peace — directed at nobody in particular.

But the week Trump escalated the Iran war? Leo flew across continents, gave media interviews, posted viral messages, and had three American Cardinals appear on 60 Minutes in what felt like a coordinated response. Bishop Strickland was removed for defending Church doctrine. Bishop Fernández in Puerto Rico was removed for defending religious exemptions that the Catechism itself supports. During COVID, governments padlocked churches across the world — the Vatican said nothing publicly. Joe Biden received communion for four years while publicly funding abortion policy — the Vatican said nothing.

But Trump calls Leo "weak" — and suddenly the institutional Church finds its voice.

I'm not defending Trump's tone. Trump talks like Trump. Water is wet.

I'm asking why my Church saves its loudest moments for American politics — and its quietest moments for the people actually dying for the faith.

That question deserves an honest answer.

Do you think the Pope should speak louder about Christian persecution worldwide? YES or NO?
