Saw this sign on Facebook at my local Walmart in Galliano.

Gives new meaning to the term rollback.

Are those mini frozen cheeseburgers?

I could eat about 7 right now.

We just flew around the moon at Mach 39.

Some strange chit is bound to happen.

All women’s periods should now be in sync. You have been warned.

It was going to go up to $10.97 but they rolled it back the increase to only $9.97.

I remember those days too well. It was a small 8 inch pizza. I think they were frozen. They popped them in the oven for about 5 minutes.

The McDonald’s was so small they didn’t have an ice cream machine, Egg McMuffins, or bagels when they came out.

I think it was those twin pack mini sausage biscuits from Old Folks.

What?!

How’d I miss this? Never lived in the area but visited often as a kid because most of my extended family is on the bayou, staying at a place a few miles away from this Walmart.

That Walmart opened around 1995 or 1996.

The McDonalds opened when the store opened. It was in a terrible location. They had it in the back of the store between the dairy coolers and the deli.

It closed in 2003 or 2004 when McDonalds built a full sized restaurant across the street from the Walmart, and the sales started to decline. Walmart opened their Radio Grill or store run restaurant, but that didn't work out either, so Walmart expaned the Deli cases and expanded the dairy coolers.

Pizza was almost a hidden item on the menu when they had it. They also had a popcorn machine. Also, they only had fish during lent because they had limited vat space to fry fish filets.

The Houma Walmart had a similar McDonalds, but it was in a larger space, but still in the rear of the store. That one too closed. When the Walmart opened in Houma on Grand Caillou, they went all out and built it much larger and included an ice cream machine and nearly a full menu, but no pizza and popcorn. It was in the front of the store. Sadly that one closed around COVID and never reopened.

I had seen Walmart was trying to rid itself of having McDonalds in the store, but I think the Waveland Walmart stll has a McDonalds in it.
