Biggest thing came from Saddiq Bey. When asked about the possibility of an extension this summer, he said he wants to be here. His circle and him wants to be here as long as possible. He said a lot of that stuff is business but personally, he wants to be here and it would be a blessing for him to stay here for as long as possible.

I don’t know about you but I want this kind of killer mindset on my team. The guy played all 82 games for us and arguably became our best player.

he's still confident for sure, even after that disaster of a season for the squad. I think he's got that mentality to be a leader though.
in the 26 games post-ASB:
26.1 MPG
44.5/33.9/75.2 shooting splits
16.5 PPG, 3.6 RPG, 4.2 APG, 2.1 TOV, 1.0 SPG, 0.5 BPG
In the last 10 games (1-9 record lol):
32.0 MPG
47.5/31.1/77.8 shooting splits
23.6 PPG, 4.0 RPG, 4.8 APG, 1.8 TOV, 1.7 SPG, 0.6 BPG
the 3pt shooting needs to pick up, but he's definitely got lead guard potential. he's only 19.5 years old too...

They just won 26 games , with like 10 teams tanking. Pelicans tried to win since they had no first round draft pick. Your “superstar” played 62 games. What changes next season, Darvin replacing Borrego ? Does that get you an extra 24 wins ….
