If we take Tyson with the two best players in the draft still on the board, considering all of the WR talent in the 2nd round, I will take back the few good things I have said about Loomis in the last few weeks.

That’s a total Mickey Loomis move

For all the 5th graders that still think we draft a WR #8 please go write this down in a notebook 100 times:

We are not drafting a WR #8
We are not drafting a WR #8

And so on.

We aren't going to draft our biggest need that we didn't address in FA in any capacity?

Seems like everybody would prefer to go defense at 8 and WR at 42.

Love being there at 8 would be pretty damn interesting. I get we signed Etienne but Love is a top 3 player in this draft to me.

I LOVE Tyson by the way. But man you’d have to be sure of his medicals.

Our biggest need after all the other biggest needs that we did address? Doesn't seem like that big of a need and WR rd 2 makes 100% since for the value vs the top guys compared to the value vs just about ANY defensive player. Its a no brainer.

Anyone who wants a WR in Rd 1 really doesn't think the Saints view Olave as a WR1. That's their own assbackwards opinion and sentiment. The reality is that Olave is our WR1, Vele is fine as a WR2, and a 2nd Rd WR could still end up a WR1-WR3.

People think WR is a much bigger need than it is. Its actually more of a want than a need.

We have (3) WR that the Saints want here and definitely plan to use: Olave/ Vele/ Polk.
Then you have (3) WR's that could pop off: Alford/ Austin JR/ DRAFT.

If you take away Olave (who would have had a record season with 17 games of Shough) you now have 4 other WRs who should be better than anything else we had behind Olave/ Vele. If we are being realistic then technically Alford/ Polk/ DRAFT could all end up better than Vele based on raw potential.

Drafting either of Love/ WR at #8 was always a luxury and not a priority or need. We aren't in a position for luxuries.

Y'all argued with me months ago about WR being a big need and how we would go after one.. Well we didn't, it doesn't look like a big need, and it looks like we will roll with the WR's that we went out of our way to acquire. Would you just look at that.

If Saints fail to take Caleb Downs if he is there for some trash WR, we deserve what we get.

That is a HUGE leap. If you don't think WR is a need, even with Olave, you're all alone on that island. Please find any Saints reporter or NFL analyst who agrees with that take.

It’s still a huge need. Yiu can’t count on Polk being the number 3 when he couldn’t make the Pats squad after one year and being a high draft pick. That would be idiotic. I wouldn’t feel comfortable with Vele being the number two either going into the season. He was a ghost most of the year until the last couple games before he got hurt.

And we didn’t go after one b/c the prices in free agency were retarded.

That line of thinking is the exact reason our WR room looks how it does now. Way too much liking the “guys we have in the building” and expecting too much from guys who simply aren’t as good as we want them to be.

He won't make the team. WR is a must. If their guy isn't there at 8, then 42 is a must, I would think.

Danman is strangely fixated on Polk and thinks he is heavily factored into the Saints offseason plans going forward. That was the joke

We would have to be crazy to take someone with his injury history, especially with Love on the board. I put no faith in that list.
