The company that literally invented Silicon Valley just packed up and LEFT California for good.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) — born in a tiny Palo Alto garage in 1939 with just $538 — has officially relocated its global headquarters to the Houston area in Texas.

This isn’t just any tech company. It’s the iconic firm that defined American innovation, created the blueprint for Silicon Valley, and powered the modern digital world. Now its top executives are gone from San Jose.

Governor Greg Abbott welcomed them with open arms, calling Texas the best place to do business. Meanwhile, Gavin Newsom’s office responded with a cold shrug: “Companies come and go.”
No press conference. No plan. Just three dismissive words.

Over 350 companies have fled California in recent years, citing sky-high taxes (13.3% top rate), crushing regulations, and insane costs. Texas has zero state income tax — saving top executives hundreds of thousands annually.

The symbolism is brutal: the birthplace of Silicon Valley just rejected its own home.
If even the company that started it all can’t justify staying, what does that say about the future of every business still in California?

The Golden State is cooking its golden geese, but what happens when they are all cooked and eaten or have left?

Then they come for the people.

At least $100+ billion in taxpayer income has left California during Newsom’s years (2020–2022 IRS-based estimate)

Socialism = destruction. Same thing is happening in marxist run Washington State. Socialist policies drive away capital and talent and leave devastation in their wake

California is a terrible state to do business. Water is wet.

Tim Dillon had an awesome rant about CA's "4th largest economy in the world" title on yesterday's programme

One would think so. But they control everything out there including elections. No telling how much election fraud goes on.

Fair elections and it may already be there, although I don’t discount the fact that there is an abundance of loons out there.

That will be the biggest challenge in having some of these blue states crater is the election shennigans we allow.

HP has been in Texas for decades. They bought Compaq and have a whole campus they share with HCC.

CALIFORNIA COLLAPSES!

...and the "blueing" of TX intensifies.

Am I the only one that doesn't like this at all? If and when TX falls, America falls. CA isn't going to "flip" red to offset a TX flip. The system is too deeply entrenched there and, at this point, CA is as deeply blue as MN.

What’s bad is these huge companies are leaving states like Cali due to shite put in place by Dems, but will completely forget that when it’s time to vote and will continue voting Dem just in a different state.

I was worried in OK because proportionately we had huge population increases over the last 10 years.

A year ago I went to the state data and looked at registered voters which they list by party.

Comparing 2016 to 2020 to 2024. And what I found is Pub registrations increased each 4 years. I was shocked and had felt we’d turn purple which didn’t happen. We increased our redness. On the other hand Dem registrations went down. Indy also went up.

Not sure if TX lists registrations publicly but someone should try and see.

It’s already RED if you take out Voter Fraud. Gerrymandering, dead people, illegals, vote harvesting, voting machine tampering all vote Dem.
