Why is the Islamic Regime so confident they are winning the war?

The rhetoric from the Islamic Regime claiming they are winning the current military conflict between USA/Israel and Iran is very interesting if not outright ballsy.
The Islamic Regime believes they will not be defeated because all they have to do is survive for a period of time and eventually the political division in the US will become so great that Trump 2.0 will end Operation Epic Fury with the Islamists still controlling Iran.
This ^^^ is an interesting belief but 100% understandable considering the Islamic Regime slaughtered thousands of Persians just a couple on months ago for taking to the streets to protest Islamic Regime. The Islamists are fairly confident the US would never put down demonstrations the way the Islamists do, by slaughtering the protestors and that's why they believe the political divide in the US is clearly in their favor. The Islamic Regime believes their quasi allies in the Red/Green Alliance within the US will have their say in the matter.

They need to keep their troops pumped up. Maduro did the same thing in VE up until we visibly proved him wrong by going in and nabbing him.

One thing all these people do have is the benefit of having wolves in the hen house, thanks to our laxed immigration. Especially over the last decade, but it's been really really happening the last 25 yrs or so. This century has not been good for our future. That's something, if/when activated, could give them some gains.

It’s because they’ve watched how the US has responded to prolonged guerrilla warfare for the past 60 years, and they’re planning a similar strategy.
As long as the US stays away from occupation, it won’t be the same scenario played out again.

I'm fairly confident the Islamic Regime would have already been jettisoned if the Persian people were armed like many Americans are. It's pretty easy for a minority government to control a huge majority of citizens if the citizens have no way to fight back.
And this ^^^^^ is a lesson to all Americans, the 2A is a bit if a deterrent/equalizer to an oppressive government.

All Iran has left is terrorism. They have drones, some missiles, their proxies and a radical ideology.....that can fuel a lot of terrorism.

I don't see any tangible "Iranian resistance" that is working against the IRGC.
The Regime will slaughter any person who challenges Regime authority in vocal protest.
The only way that any "Iranian resistance" would have a chance to topple the Regime is if the US military is allowed to wage an aggressive campaign within Iran of Unconventional Warfare.
