..for Arvell Reese. Seems word is out the Jets favor Bailey at 2. Cardinals at 3 need a RT more than anything, but 3 is too early for Mauigoa or Fano. Both are probably top 10 worthy, but not top 3. Cards have also been burned before with LB 'tweeners' like Isaiah Simmons and Zaven Collins, even Haason Reddick didn't really work out for them. Reese will make them institutionally nervous to draft another LB. Cardinals are also all-in for drafting a QB in 2027.

Saints give up 8 and their 2027 1st round pick to move up to 3 for Reese. Cards get the tackle they wanted anyway at 8 - Fano or Mauigoa or both will definitely be available, and they have more ammo for a 2027 QB.

Mad or no? Davenport all over again? I'd be Ok with it - like the idea of Chase Young and Arvell Reese rushing the passer for the next 3-4 years.

Reese is somewhat of a gamble and to mortgage the future for it? No

Why would we take the #8 pick and then trade more assets to move up when our pick next year could be #20? We shouldn't touch our 1st, 2nd, or 3rd this year. Use next years 1st, 2nd, 3rd to acquire a David Bailey type player who is already a proven NFL talent and then draft BPA at #8.

All this trade up talk for unproven talent. Use those assets on a proven NFL player if y'all want to give them up so bad.

If the Jets don't take Reese at 2, then there isn't anyone that will take him before the Browns at 6 or even the Commanders at 7, and everyone in the draft knows that. No one is calling Arizona and mortgaging the future to get to 3, especially when they know Arizona badly needs a tackle and there isn't one really worth a top 3 pick.

Nah, Loomis doesn't trade up unless it's for a project D lineman.

Trading up from to 3 to draft a situational pass rusher with athletic upside if he develops to his potential.

You’re probably right. The saints have a long history of stupid draft day trades like that.

We could be in a position to compete for a Super Bowl in the next couple years if Shough keeps progressing. This trade would probably prevent that from happening. Giving up a future first to trade up is always dumb unless it is for a qb. Keep the picks and keep adding playmakers. I’m not opposed to using future mid or late round picks to get guys but firsts are two valuable to waste on one unproven guy.

If the chips fell right I’d trade back. But idk anything, so who knows what we will do. I do know this much though, we are more than one player away, so to move up doesn’t make much sense to me. We need more talent all over the team, not just one WR, RB, Edge, etc

Stay at 8 and trade up for another 1st or 2nd rounder. We need more swings at top talent not fewer.

There is no player in this draft I’m surrendering a future 1st to move up for. Stay at 8 and be smart, take Mansoor Delane and make your defense a lot better day 1.

Building through the draft means you have great players on rookie contracts. Thats why you would draft a young edge over a proven commodity.

This would be dumb. At most you trade up 2 spots to 6 and it only costs next years 3rd.

Well, I know the GM came in after the Simmons and Collins draft picks and Kingsbury AND Gannon have left as well, so is Michael Bidwell that involved to stop the drafting of Reese?

Reese might turn out to be an All-Pro but he has to develop. And the Saints don't exactly have a great track record there.

Saints are good position to stay or trade down. They can fix a few roster issues in this draft. No need move up.
