Anyone do this? Shopping this morning with a baw and he picked up some Zesty Italian salad dressing to dump in the boil later? Never heard of this.

1. I don’t believe you.
2. I doubt it would make much of a difference.

Were they also adding Sunny Delight?

This is my thought. Seems like it would just dissolve in the boiling water and everything else.

Do a blind taste test and see.
I do like a hint of lemon in crab/shrimp boil. All I got.

Ive seen people do that. Supposedly, it's not really for taste but to make them peel easier. I prefer to just drop a stick of Kerry Gold instead.

Tell that baw to stop that gay shite.

Could just have added the herbs themselves

Why do people insist on fricking with simple things that are already good?
Salt and crab boil is all you need!
It’s like putting A1 on Kobe beef.

Yep, sometimes I think people add stuff so they can talk about "their recipe" to other folks. I keep it simple with my crawfish and they're always great.
Butter, veggies, garlic, seasoning, and ice for the soak. Sometimes a few lemons if I'm feeling froggy. Never dust. Nothing to it.

Yup. All about the flair and this is too much.

What's yall's go to seasoning blend? I've always liked the extra spicy zatarains personally.

Just cook them properly and you don't have to worry about this
