Private schools parents: What do you pay for tuition?

My son is in kindergarten. His tuition is $22k. My daughter is 3. Her tuition is $18k. We live in the Atlanta metropolitan area.
Edit: the high school tuition for my kids’ current school is $30k+ per student. Will likely be more when my kids are in high school.

We’re gonna get a range of responses with everyone ranging from:
Quoting reasonable smaller town prices
People bragging about what they pay (because it’s a lot).
And people saying you are a fool for paying that.
Good luck.

Has your son asked you if he’s really a boy yet?

Starting in July it will be $13K a kid. I wish there was a better alternative but needing before and aftercare limits your options.

Was trying to figure out if I am getting ripped off. I don’t think it’s something to brag about.

I think we pay somewhere in the neighborhood of $14k/yr for tuition at Catholic High in New Iberia. 9th and 4th grades.

Catholic schools are cheaper because the Catholic Church subsidizes the schools. They don’t have to charge as much. Might look into switching my kids to a Catholic school.

When they both get into high school it will be $30k+ for each.

Yeah, in Atlanta things are more expensive than Louisiana.

If it's anything like Baton Rouge Catholic schools ,you may want to start donating and getting involved in Church activities now in order to build the parent resume.

Better yet, invest that same money into and account for the kid and they'll have a really substantial cushion coming out of HS

2 of mine go to a BR catholic elementary/middle school for about $9K a year, and one goes to a BR catholic high school for about $12-14K a year.
It's a lot. But honestly I think it's money very well spent. They're getting more out of it than just an education. Faith is very important to me and our high school spends a lot of time on peer ministry that my oldest is certainly into. He was raised in the school where the younger ones are now and his catholic upbringing was very much the norm there. I see it in his younger brothers now.
I don't like spending tons of money but I legitimately feel like we're getting it's worth in these schools.

even better, take that money and invest in a hitting coach, strength coach, nutrionist, and sports psychologist for little Bryxlee and it will pay off in spades with the first NIL contract

It's worked out for us. I'd be broke if I had to send my kids to St. Pius, Tuerlings or sTm. And I refuse to go the public school route.

It's also keeping them away from the average Baton Rouge public school kid. Can we be honest with ourselves and admit that's 99% of the reason private schools exist in EBR parish?
Private school kid from the 80's here. My parents did it to keep us from getting bussed to Glen Oaks. I received a slightly better education, but the main benefit was the fact that I didn't have to deal with Glen Oaks locals.
