Trump impeachment and RFK votes loom as Sen. Bill Cassidy fights for political survival.

COVINGTON, La. — Sen. Bill Cassidy knows Republican voters won’t forget his decision to convict President Donald Trump in the Jan. 6 impeachment trial. But whether Cassidy is re-elected to another term in Louisiana this year may depend on whether they are willing to forgive him.
During a recent campaign stop at an assisted living home in Louisiana’s Northshore, the first question from the crowd was whether Cassidy regretted his impeachment vote, as well as his vote to confirm Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
Cassidy acknowledged “those will be two votes that people will remember me for.” But he also defended himself, saying he made his choices based on the best available information he had at the time. And he added that “no,” he doesn’t think Trump should “continue” to be impeached.
Asked later by NBC News whether he thinks his impeachment vote will be a liability in his GOP primary, Cassidy said that it “might be.” But he also sought to downplay his rift with Trump as a temporary disagreement, noting he has voted with the president 90% of the time.
“I tell people, ‘Hey, you’re married? Did ever your spouse do something that you didn’t really like?’ And you work through it,” he told NBC News in a wide-ranging interview that aired on "Meet the Press NOW." “I’m focused on the now and the future. If you want somebody delivering for our state, to make Louisiana a place where people move to set down roots, raise their children and grandchildren, I’m your guy.”

What an out of touch buffoon and traitor.
Focus on the future Billy. When we vote we are going to focus on the past. You dont get to just say “mistakes were made, lets forget about that”

I don't like anybody in this race to be honest. But I especially don't like Cassidy. And I never like Fleming either. I don't know Letlow but the attack ads are working.
So I'm just going to go with Trump's choice and vote for Letlow. But if she turns out to be dogshit, just remember what the choices were. Brown, black or white turd?

Go with Fleming, even if his steaks are overrated.

Adolph Eichmann should have used that defense in his murder trial.

You voted the impeachment of Trump itself was illegal and unconstitutional. Your vote should have been "not guilty" by default. Are you that dense, Bill?

Can I come to Louisiana and vote against him if I show my birth certificate?

If you try and murder your spouse, you tend to not work it out. Best case you only get a divorce and don't end up in jail.

I'd vote for Mickey Mouse before I'd ever pull the lever for Cassidy again.
