This doesn't look set up at all. The camera guy TOTALLY just happens to be where he needs to be to get the perfect angle of all of these encounters.

Raiding the rainy day fund to adding programs to the budget doesn't seem wise. Meanwhile the tax base will flee, freeloaders will rise, and this city is fricked. I give it 12-18 months they will be asking for a bailout.

It would probably be difficult to find a mayor ANYWHERE in the US that one couldn't describe as "populist." Thankfully, most still aren't full blown avowed communists yet, though.

The gloves were more what jumped out at me and the fact that I didn't see anyone else in those. Not used to seeing those unless really at sub-freezing type temps. Got me curious to see what the temps were there. Looks like a low of maybe 32, but evening commute temps in the 50s.
Yeah, it seems weird to be wearing gloves.
