WOW! 3,000 ticket requests for…..

……LSU basketball since Will Wade was hired 2 weeks ago! This according to Verge Ausberry.
As a reminder this is NOT the number of “season tickets” but instead is the number of “requests”. Each request is likely two season tickets or more. If you estimated conservatively at 2 per request then that would mean 6,000 new season tickets. That my friend is half the arena!

According to the LSU official stats they averaged 7100 per home game in attendance. Not sure the requests thing is handled if they are requested every year or if these are new requests. LSU average away game attendance was about 11K so there is plenty of room for improvemnt.

Aside from having a MBB team worth watching it will be very interesting to see how the financial part of all of this plays out over the next few years.
Many pushing for WW pointed to Bama and how their MBB program surged in revenue and hopefully we exceed their increase.
The Athletic Department has been on a heater spending money lately, but Kiffin and Wade could really pay off in a big way.

Normally the season tickets for basketball season ticket renewals go from April - June. Early June is the deadline. So I would think the requested tickets would be offered up in June.

6-1 season ticket holders get there renewals. So somewhere right in there.

With that many requests, dos that count people that already had them or just the ones that had them that are requesting more. Could we sell out whatever they alot for season tickets?

It's 3000 new requests for no telling how many actual tickets.
I know we were down to just under 5K in season tickets for 25-26. WE used to sell 9500 season tickets and even over 10K in some seasons.
WBB sells right at 10K season tickets now since Kim got here.

I can’t remember a more anticipated and exciting opening football game and basketball game in the same year. That opening weekend with Lane Kiffin on our sideline against Clemson is going to be overpacked and electrifying in Tiger Stadium while the PMAC will be rocking in that first game with Wade back on our bench.
