The U.S. will impose tariffs of 50% on “any and all” goods imported to the country from any nation “supplying military weapons to Iran”, President Donald Trump said on Wednesday.

Trump said in a Truth Social post that any country found to be supplying Iran with weapons would be subject to the levy “immediately”, with no “exclusions or exemptions”.

The president wrote: “A Country supplying Military Weapons to Iran will be immediately tariffed, on any and all goods sold to the United States of America, 50%, effective immediately. There will be no exclusions or exemptions!”

It came as Trump said the U.S. would “work closely” with Iranian authorities, following the ceasefire agreement announced on Tuesday and what Trump called “very productive regime change”.

Trump said in a separate Truth Social post that “there will be no enrichment of uranium” and that many of the 15 points in the U.S. peace proposals have already been agreed.

The U.S. and Iran will discuss tariffs and sanctions relief, Trump added.

The tariff rate for China already averages 50%. So no penalty for China shipping arms to Iran?

Do you really think he wouldn't impose the 50% on top of what the tariff already is for any country selling them weapons...or are you just playing stupid

You really think he's not talking about additional tariffs? Really? That's what you think?

Sadly for you, those "empty threats" have left Iran without a military.

Why would we be in a cease fire with a country with no military?

Obviously we have decimated them but they're not completely ineffective

No military puts them in a pretty big pickle.

With what global economy? Their rebuild will be very slow.

They no longer have nukes either, if you didn't notice.

Not sure if you are watching the news, but the left's overreaction is being looked upon very negatively and most sources, even some left sources, are exposing the hypocrisy of the Democrats and how they overplayed their hand.

He did not say "50% more" or "50% on top of existing tariffs." He said 50% tariff.

You folks have to lie to yourselves and each other all day to cover for Trump's obvious deficiencies.

Yawn. I voted for Trump and do not regret that decision.
However, its hard for anyone - starting with World leaders - to take him serious after the Iran debacle.
