Are cats underrated pets?

Easy to clean up, no early morning walks, low maintenance, and cats are genuinely hilarious to watch. Kill any bugs or critters around the house. You can leave 2-3 days and they will be fine. Vet care is way cheaper too
Seems like old crazy cat ladies give cats a bad rap to the rest of society. I wasn’t much of a cat guy either until we found a kitten at our doorstep

My dogs will not tolerate them...... they are excellent judges of character.

I have a siamese. It plays with the dogs and it uses the bathroom outside. So no litter box.
As long as it's cool cats can be fun to have. Cats that are afraid of everyone or aggressive suck.

They probably used to be. I don’t think they receive that much hate these days.
If you get lucky and get an amazing cat, that’s a really special and fun relationship, without all the high maintenance responsibilities of a dog. I’d take that over any pet option.
But man duds are really pretty worthless and it’s hard trying to teach them how to be better pets.

If you have an old house, especially an old house with a crawlspace underneath, cats are invaluable to have in the house.

I have 2 cats. I got them for my 2 daughters and I promised them they could stay inside.
Worst mistake of my life.
All litter smells. Anyone that says their litter doesn’t smell is lying. And it gets everywhere. Hair everywhere. They scratch all my furniture. They eat random shite then vomit everywhere.
I hate these cats.
