What was it like for you? Did they play near / around Bawcomville?

Never got to see the OG Dead - I was pretty young when Jerry passed. Went to the first Dead & Co show at Soldier Field that had Trey instead of Mayer. Seen the Mayer version about 5 or 6 times.

Seen Phish 15 times and WSP 23 times. Good bit of other jam shows in there, too.

Sadly, never been to Bawcomville.

Saw Pink Floyd at Rice Stadium. Was a great show and they played until all of their equipment was trashed by the rain.

And they kept playing Even got a drum stick as a souvenir

The Dead was big in the DC area in the 80's. They played there several times a year and I saw them a couple of times in 88-89. I was never a huge fan, though.

First Dead show was June 1991. Saw them 17 times before Jerry died.
First Phish show was May 1994. Not sure how many times I’ve seen them. Probably around 50, only seen them about 3-4 times since 2000

I saw the Dead at the Omni (Atlanta) March 1995.

Ive seen Phish 3 times.

Allman Brothers 3 times (all with Gregg).

Jimmy Buffet twice.

DMB 5 times.

I dont know if the 90s is exactly what you mean by back in the day.
But the concerts were a blast.

Thats about the best I could have done bussing tables / waiting tables as a student.

I remember having to pick and choose which shows I could make because of budget (I did sneak into Jimmy Buffett one year because there were no scalpers outside. I had tickets to a future DMB show but helped lead a small platoon of non-ticket holders in with the same method).

Grateful Dead

New Orleans, multiple Atlanta shows, multiple Vegas shows… a dozen or more total. Life changing experiences for me.

Dead & Co a few times including NYE in San Fran.

Rat Dog, Billy & the Kids, Lesh, etc multiple times.

Phish

only Jazz Fests;

WSMFP

many times including small venues in the early days, the best being The Varsity and The Backyard (Austin).
