Only 17 ABs thus far, but he is not making his case to be brought back to the 40 man MLB roster.
Saw an article that he was not taking to some swing changes that the Nats coaches had suggested in order to try and cut down on the SOs.

Single A like the rest and work his way up or become LSU hitting coach. We need one badly.

Very surprising, but baseball is hard. Slumps get in your head and can be hard to get past.

Crews is on the Nats 40-man roster homie.

One day you dorks on Tigerdroppings will figure out that not every former athlete makes a good coach.

I’m just glad he’s working it out in AAA rather than in Washington. Swing changes can be difficult to make while staying the same hitter.

His first two seasons were very consistent. He’s a bust.
I’m sure if he’s smart he won’t need to get a real job given his signing bonus

James Wood and Jacob Young are much better. There isn't a spot on the roster for him

He still has time to figure it out. He's such a naturally gifted baseball player that I have a hard time believing he won't turn a corner eventually.
But wilder things have happened.
If you want to talk about consistency, it was Crews in college for 3 years.

He's struggling offensively. He's still a very good defender and has good speed. There's a lot more to baseball than batting average and home runs.

Everybody is giving Dylan shite, but Wood is going through a huge slump of his own. Striking out 40%+ going back to end of last year

Josh Smith who did well at LSU has turned out nicely for the Rangers in the MLB. Hopefully Crews can figure it out like Smith did.

Only Kevin Kiermaier grinded out a career as a poor hitter/great defensive OF’er. But he was also drafted in the 30th round.
If you are drafted in the top 5 and hit 220/290/350 you aren’t likely gonna get out of that hole at age 24

Wood hit 31 HRs and was just under 100 RBIs. Striking out is just part of it. Crews is no where close to as talented as Wood

It felt like the Rangers left him in the lineup for 5 years while he was “figuring it out” and hitting sub-.200 so hopefully Crews gets that long of a leash

Jacob Young is a .246 hitter with fewer HRs despite having twice as many ABs. Hit .231 last season and .214 so far this season.

And he's been better than Crews this season and last. So what's your point? Young steals twice as many bases too

He's not a big league starter type guy. He could stay on a roster long term and contribute but he swings and misses too much for his lack of power to be an every day player
