LSU has gone all-in on Will Wade, and sources have told On3 that $12 million is only a starting point. Sources expect that number to grow as Wade begins to fundraise and gets aggressive in the portal. Wade left NC State after just one season; the Wolfpack are expected to commit over $10 million between NIL and rev-sharing for next year’s roster.
Per On3
For reference, others in the 10m+ club are Kentucky, Tennessee, Auburn, Kansas, Arkansas, Arizona, Florida, Houston, North Carolina
Article puts Alabama and Texas A&M at around an 8-10m spending range

I like that it says we will start at $12M and see where we are at.

Wade specifically stated in his introductory press conference that there is no defined number, his task is to assemble a competitive roster. He said season one would likely be higher than perhaps standard due to kicking off the program.

Thank god we have some extremely wealthy donors who are willing to pony up, and frankly thank god for a governor who actually acts in LSU's best interest
If we still had Jindal or JBE we'd still Hve fricking Kelly snd McMahon.
Welcome to the geauxlden era

Not my money and I’m thankful we have rich donors willing to pony up, but man it’s a travesty what college sports has become.

I would imagine BYU and Texas Tech are up there as well.

I am willing to donate $5.00.

Because WW is here and will work with the donors who begged to get him here to raise that money, it will not be an issue. And it will not affect any other team, those folks are basketball guys and Will Wade guys.

I wish they wouldn't leak these numbers. You know player agents are figuring out the proper cut for their starting player based off of these leaks.

It's professional sports now. Hate it, but it is what it is and I'm glad the Tigers are not running away from it.

Now just force Kramer’s mom to retire and give that money to the Pear to get some better players.

A travesty to everyone except the ones actually playing the sports for our entertainment
