How about we do something about insurance companies in general.

this and interest rates are a big driver on why housing is unaffordable.

Sounds like he's making a list, checking it twice... we're all gonna find out who's naughty or nice.

Well california is a pretty bad place to offer fire insurance. They've been known to turn the fireplugs off to save a fish or two. That said, if an ins co was accepting checks on active policy they should not only cover them, but pay a punitive fee to affected homeowners and small businesses.

Sounds like you're proposing the opposite of tort reform

State Farm is the worst. Took forever to send out an adjuster for storm damage on my addition.

Told me that all the hurricanes had backlogged all their adjusters. Told me not to proceed with repairs.

By the time they got to me, the addition was a total loss. Demolished the addition and then they reviewed the claim and denied rebuilding the addition.

I then bundled all my insurance with a different company.

Like a shite neighbor, State Farm is there to frick you over.

having an insurance and a mortgage is 1000 times more of a hassle than just an insurance claim

state farm is horrible

they have had to pay huge fines at least 2 times for screwing their customers over. Willfully fricking them over.

2 times paying major fins from Government=Shouldnt have customers

I wonder what it would take to have their license revoked?...if it was, that would leave a lot of people in trouble.

I went down to Will Rogers for some beach fun on Sunday. I typically just roll down Sunset to get there.

Palisades High School is open, but it’s surprising to see how few houses are in the building stage.

Also, if you go visit that beach, don’t pay to park. Park on Temescal Canyon Rd and walk down.

It might be the insurance companies screwing people over.

Adam Carrola seems to think it is a combination of local zoning and permitting problems. And people being too under insured because of the required changes in building codes not being properly priced into the policies that people bought.

State Farm did nothing wrong. They warned everyone of the fire risk and when nothing was done they said they were out. Smart business.

They didn’t deny paying customers. This is about the customers they dropped before the fires. They gave customers months warning before they stopped covering their homes so customers had time to get new insurance. State Farm said the fire risk was too high for them to insure homes in that area.
