Should Duke have been shooting technical free throws after Mullins’ shot?

I was worried about the same thing when I saw all their players run out onto the court

In all honesty, probably.
It seemed less like a playful gesture and more like him taunting the ref in a “we won in spite of your bad officiating” kind of way, and he initiated contact.

There should be a dedicated "Hurley Cam" for every single game he coaches in. I could binge watch Hurley videos.

By the letter of the law, I would say yes. But given the spirit of the game, and the magnitude of the situation, the ref just walking off was the right way to handle it.

Hurley would have left in handcuffs if they T’d him up there

Im not sure I could write a character to be a more unlikable coach (short of some sort of child abuse).
But the running onto the floor after a big shot with time remaining has been happening a lot going back to conference tournaments this season. At some point some ref is going to call it by the book and T up the bench. It seems dumb they cant wait until the game is over. Just a little patience is needed.

Also, so this is where Nate Oats gets his assholery. Oats is real close with the Hurley's. They pretty much got him into the college game. Remember a few years ago he did this to LSU:

Just to note, Dan Hurley gets to the point of attack and sets his feet and then the ref walks into him
. it was intentional though and could have been justified as a technical, but we would have had riots over Duke winning like that.

Thus, no T for Hurley’s head butt or players running onto the court.

I'll say this, the restraint from that ref is pretty impressive. Kind of hard to complain if that had been called especially with him making contact.

Ref wouldn't have walked out of that arena alive had he not swallowed the whistle.

On the Duke radio call of "the shot", as soon as it goes in...he starts complaining there's a UConn bench player on the Court celebrating (when we all instinctively thought the game was over in the moment) before seeing 0.3 seconds on the clock.
And that crying homer is getting roasted. No one, no neutral fan or the sports world in general would've taken kindly to a Tech in that moment being called, regardless of the letter of the law.
Sports needs common sense, fans demand it.
Not...well UConn won the game but...technically they celebrated too early so lets ruin the moment.

I wish we got to see that Hurley melt.

Yeah they were crying about the celebration. Calling that would have been dumb.
But the Hurley head taunt, if that was caked he would have only had himself to blame.

Was the officiating bias towards Duke? I didn’t watch

If Will Wade did this he’d have Bilas, Davis, Forde and every sportswriter in shambles and possibly be in jail.

In the second half, UConn had a huge advantage in free throws and foul disparity. Hard to say Duke had favorable calls in this case.
