He’ll need to buy refs if they go up against Duke again next year

I still don’t understand the point of a businessman buying players to get back nothing financially,

“Owners” in pro sports are in it to make money and build wealth.

“Owners” in college sports cant get any of those benefits, at least those NIL donors

When you have billions clout is worth more than any return on investment.

Nothing is rational about major college sports.

1st time in my life watching Duke and thinking they were getting shafted by the refs. St. Johns guards were riding the Duke backcourt, the grabbing on the pick and rolls was crazy. The little white guard should have had 5 fouls in the 1st 10 mins. The 2nd half might have been worse.

Its the same thing as buying a Monet or a Jackson Pollack. You don't get anything for it, really, but it looks pretty fricking awesome on your wall and there are only so many of them to go around.

BBall rosters much cheaper than football too. Even if this guy drops $10 million on the team each year, if his fortune is a $1 billion even, thats like an OT baller making 100k dropping $1000 on a baller arse guided duck hunt. And who here hasn't spent that much on something completely frivolous every year?

Read your statement carefully and consider it and maybe ask yourself what NIL actually means.

LSU owes something like 200 million in coaches salaries over the next 5 years including buyouts

Imagine what that money could actually be used for in a broke dick state like Louisiana Being rational left the window a long time ago

I can’t imagine what a private citizen’s money could be used for in this state. Help me out here.
You want someone to donate money to the govt?

??

Buying another sports car/home/pair of $10000 boots/multiple watches doesn't "get back" anything financial, either.

Yet, here I am, addicted to the pursuit of status:

Hope so. Enjoy the heck out of watching his teams play. Bastard beat one of Alabama's best teams in the mid 80s. Hope he dies on the court at 90, coaching another game. Dude's built for the basketball coach life.
