I would suspect that, given he retweeted this, an FTC crackdown on Apple, CNN, MSNBC, etc., is coming. She spells it out ...

God Bless that young lady.

I've seen a couple of her videos before. She's very knowledgeable for a younger person.

Wow.

Never judge a book by its cover.

She looks like a prog, but is a conservative hammer.

Nicely done!

This is how you wind up like North Korea.

Disputing and debunking claims are fine. Giving federal government the authority to be the arbiter of truth with the power of DOJ behind it isn’t the genius idea y’all think it is.

I don't know if anyone in the Trump admin has actually proposed that, but I agree with the statement you made. Most of the media "lies" are more like strongly misleading statements. Even more important is the other side of the story they never publish, which is very difficult to regulate. So you get into a grey area where the govt shouldn't operate.

And I'd love to give you credit for being consistent. So could you link where you made this point when Biden appointed his "disinformation czar".

The Trump admin didn’t propose it as far as I am aware. I’m speaking directly to the peanut gallery that appears to want it.

I’d say the same thing about the idea of any administration criminalizing misinformation. I am all for calling out and debunking lies, but when people start crying out for legislation then it becomes a problem. The only reasonable exception might be organized foreign actors, which is pretty easily distinguished from threats to press.

No way that the Congress, as currently constructed, would do that. We will need more MAGA seats in Congress before we might have a chance with this one.

We can't even get the SAVE Act passed, so, I do not believe that we can reverse Obama's action on this issue.

Give the people the legal recourse to sue for damage caused by opinion propaganda.

I do not want a Bureau of Censorship from any side.

However, prior to what she is talking about, Smith-Mundt, we knew that the Legacy Media was simply the DNC strategists. An amazing amount of talking heads and upper-level management are married or related to active Democrat DC Pols.

We survived ok prior to the repeal, eh?

I wish you could legislate integrity but I’m afraid that is not the case.

Of course you hate the idea because the media lying for the Democrats helps you.

Indeed. She’s very well spoken. What are Trump’s options here? Congress is worthless to get any laws passed.

He's going to unleash the FTC and FCC on them in all likelihood.

No, they won't, and that's why it's going to take a major political shift to the MAGA Right in Congress before this might happen.
