has the school posted anything about firing McMahon, thanking him for his efforts etc? seems weird hearing nothing about him

The media reported earlier that neither he or his staff were told they were being fired until Wade's plane was in the air coming back.
Really crappy way to handle this if true. Inexcusable.

No need to thank him for putting the program back to where the general found it the first time.
I don’t know that we ever released an official firing message. If we do it should just be after 4 years and 17-55 in the second with 0 tournaments we have decided to terminate Matt. Thank you

We can’t help that he is going to act clueless about being fired. When you are a bad employee it should be clear that one of the dangers is being fired

the letter in my email says:
I want to thank Matt McMahon for his dedication and contributions to LSU and the men's basketball program over the last four seasons. He was a tremendous ambassador for the university and cared deeply about our student-athletes and our program. We wish him and his family all the best going forward.

Yea bird didn’t leave BR until 1sh.
The reports of MM fired WW in happened around 9 so they told them first then Nakos tweeted it.

I’m following closely, but am sauceless. I read that McMahon was told the day before and he asked LSU for time to tel his family and staff before it was announced and LSU respected that request.
We’re both obviously biased in different directions so we are both at risk of confirmation bias clouding or perspective of what actually transpired.

The General rides at noon. His return has outgrown the Student Union, site of his first introductory news conference. I was in attendance at the first one. I live in Colorado now, so I hope it's livestreamed. I also hope it's packed.
