The other half of Seals & Crofts. Jim Seals died in 2022.

They put out a lot of popular music in the 70s.
quote:

AAn agent for Crofts’ daughter Lua Crofts Faragher confirmed the news to ABC Audio.

“Lua, her family, and Brady Seals are mourning this deep loss,” read the statement. Brady Seals was a cousin of Jim Seals, the other half of Seals & Crofts. He and Lua currently perform under the name Seals & Crofts 2.

“We are honoring and celebrating the amazing life and legacy of Darrell George ‘Dash’ Crofts, and are so grateful for the music that lives on through Seals & Crofts 2,” the statement continued.

Producer Louie Shelton, who produced several of Seals & Crofts’ albums, including 1972’s Summer Breeze and 1973’s Diamond Girl, posted about Crofts’ death on Facebook.

Jim Seals little brother, England Dan, of England Dan and John Ford Coley, died in 2009.

I reckon all of these fellers had a good time.

John Ford Coley is a cousin of Grand Ole Opry comedian Sarah Ophelia Colley Cannon. You might know her by her stage name, Minnie Pearl.

Not Minnie Pearl. Thought she was a real country bumpkin but read she was very intelligent and the act was just an act.

First concert I went to as a teenager was S&C and Leon Russell at Doak Campbell stadium in Tallahassee. Also the first time I indulged in smoking…

Aww man....Hate to hear this. Dash and Jimmy Seals really were great musicians- many may not realize just how talented they were.

RIP to a legend of his craft.
