WD 40, but it also removes all/any wax

Citrol 266 for tar.
But follow directions. It can easily strip clear coat if you just leave it on there.

The turtle wax bug and tar is actually really good and inexpensive. Down side is generally you’re gonna need a bunch of it unless the bugs are nice and fresh. If they’ve dried out at all you’re gonna have a rough time. Do not wet the car first. Spray the bug remover on the bug splatter and let it dwell for a good while. If it evaporates spray it again and then wipe it off with a microfiber or some kind of non-abrasive cloth.

Coke. I am serious. Get a can of Coke, pour some on a rag and wipe. You can also use it to clean build up around your car battery.

I've found it works best with a detailing brush on grills/front ends.

Men of the OT wash their own cars? I thought we were all paying detailers to do it?

Ive had great luck with clay bars for bugs. Pick one, they all seem identical.
Tar is a bit tougher, probably need a tar remover like losted above.
That said, after its off Ive found applying ceramic wax/sprays are amazing at making it easy to remove future bugs and tar.
