If we can get a 4th for Rattler and replace him with Wilson, I'm down.
Wilson has more pure talent than Rattler does, but played for QB purgatory. I don't think he'll ever be better than Shough, but maybe KM can turn him into a similar rehab story as Mac Jones.
And if not, we got a backup QB for basically nothing and picked up a free 4th rounder in the process.

I wouldn’t get to excited, the dolphins went with 7th round rookie Quinn Ewers over him last year when Tua went down.

He’s the same age as Shough, was drafted 2nd overall and is already on his 4th team. Pretty crazy.

They knew they were moving on from Tuna so they were in tank and rebuild mode. No upside to playing Wilson. Ewers is on a rookie contract. If he was good or bad it didn’t matter bc it wouldn’t cost them more money. If Wilson went in and lit it up, they may have to pay him. They were going to start over with a new QB anyway.

Look at Baker Mayfield and Sam Darnold, both were drafted high, ended up being backups for several teams. Finally the lights clicked on and now both are starting.
Not saying it will happen to Wilson, but at least he is still in the league and going to a team with 3 former NFL Qbs who are coaches.
