Well, if there is a gas leak then that huge flare will certainly ignite it.

My favorite are the oilfield workers that swear never to watch soaps, but they will be in the galley between 11 and noon to watch the Young and the Restless and could recite a storyline or two.

Is Valero the old “Texaco port Arthur” or is it old “Gulf Port Arthur”?

This would have never happened if Pimp C hadn't died

A lot of the site was down for a hydrocracker turnaround. Wonder what happened

They were just coming back up, which is not an unusual time for something like this to happen.
I live about 20 min or so west and we heard the explosion
Seen it speculated it was a furnace that went boom, too much gas in the box when it got lit potentially

For all the truck nuts comments and plant baw grief, always a good reminder of just how dangerous that work actually is.

People that video vertically need to be slapped.
People that video diagonally need to be shot.

Heard it while sitting at the ballpark in Winnie. Sounded just like thunder and my wife and I just looked at each other confused about where it came from
