Is there really not a single basketball sauce vendor on here?

Everyone and their mother has a sauce in the football program.
Radio silence on basketball.
Either it’s because nobody gives a shite enough to procure a source, or McMahon is good at keeping a lid on info,

There's plenty of people claiming insider info. We have to wait and see if any of them are right.

Program is so far in the shitter we can't even get troll sources. Not a single person saw Wade or his wife in the airport or something?

It really is crazy how silent it’s been. You’d think if he was coming back something would be out in the news by now

It is really simple, Verge will need about a 30-40 million dollar donation to move on from MM. He is tapped out with LK right now and they decided not to up football prices for the Fall. He is banking on LK be the right guy, LSU football to bring in a more money, then upping football tickets the next year, which will free up some money from donors to go towards basketball.

I think it's pretty wild that we've been able to get away with saying absolutely nothing for almost 2 weeks now. There would be mass hysteria if this was football. Maybe they really are going to be able to run out the clock til that buyout drops from $5 million to $3 million. Just another 9 days.

I have a pretty reliable, make that very reliable sauce that hasn't said a word, I think it's because LSU is a football school and no one really gives a shite, sure, I'd like to see them be competitive, but I just don't think it's a high booster priority, just my opinion

Nothing to gain talking about it, only if something changes. Besides, it's Baseball Season, and looks like they have problems of their own...

That's grossly exaggerated, or at minimum, intentionally misleading. Yes, a new HC would likely command a total, over the course of 5-6 years, salary of $25M with a staff upping it to $30M. But that would be the case ANYTIME a new HC is hired. Whether this year, the next, or 3 years from now. Also, what MM and Co. would be owed in a buyout can be offset. Given all of the coaching, including MM, are young enough to likely want to continue coaching, there is a high probability years 2 and 3 of the buyout will be offset, if not year 1
The costs for next year to dump MM and Co. is about $3M. The cost to have MM and Co. coach the team next year is about $3.5M. The question is do you want to pay another HC on top of that.

The football expenses aren't going away. In fact, they will likely be more expensive next season if LSU performs well. LSU will either have to pay top dollar to retain or replace coordinators and other HCs. The NIL market is only going to continue to inflate. This year's $40M roster will cost $45M. Unless you think LSU fans would be ok with having a worse season the next year just to save money (look at the Rant during baseball games to see how "understanding" fans are towards a HC coming off a national championship". Any increased revenues would not be huge, relatively speaking, given the majority of money now comes from TV.

Why would they need to put something out that he’s coming back? He’s the coach til he’s not.

What are you expecting to hear at this point exactly? All the information is already out there. They're in a holding pattern until either Wade decides he wants the job and/or April 1st hits and his buyout goes down.

a lot of smoke for sure
I still go back to why haven't you indicated McMahon is returning
If you are not ready for when the portal opens you are all but sacrificing next season

Those sauces said Wade would sign last Friday.

All the guys on On3 who are proven insiders all say Wade is coming
A few of them have even gone as far to say it's done and just final details are being decided on, t's crossed, i's dotted, that sort of thing.

I gained a pretty solid source close to the program towards the end of last offseason. Go check out the MBB Offseason ‘25 thread on the recruiting board. Most specifically, I had PJ Carter and Zipper info when no one else did.
With that being said, the Wade stuff is real. Not gonna give a timeline like these other guys but I’d be surprised if it doesn’t happen.
ETA: Offseason ‘26 thread coming soon btw. Gonna be a fun one.

Can you post a link to the on3 info? Or at least tell me where to look on the website? Most of these services offer a free or greatly reduced intro price I can sign up for. Thanks.
