One of - if not the greatest lie of our criminal justice system ...... rehabilitation. One must possess the requisite skills to be REhabilitated.

“If you’re under the age of 26 years old when you commit the offense – here, he was 24 years old – once you serve 25 years, you’re eligible for parole,” L.A. County DA Nathan Hochman told KTLA. “That’s exactly what happened with Mr. Collins.”
Double murder conviction. 24 years old. Shown mercy as a "youthful offender".
They say he served 25 years... but he committed the double murder in 1998 and this woman was murdered in 2021. That ain't 25 years.

I read somewhere (could have been here) the other day a statement that sums this up nicely and very accurately, imo.
The problem with the left is that all of their empathy is with the criminal, and it’s never with the victim.

Who is the constituency asking for leniency on murderers?
Politicians are sociopaths and narcissists. They only care about money and getting reelected. Who is out there lobbying to put murderers back on the street?

Then she cried. Not because 6 kids no longer have a mother, but because the police arrested him again.

But you better not say anything against Islam.

This is yet another sad result of what the Left considers “enlightened thinking” and a “progressive society”.

Naw. Being a law abiding citizen isn’t predicated on skill.

Good time credits im sure.
Louisiana just mostly did away with that a couple years ago. You’re serving 85% now, just like the Feds.

Ahhh… gotcha.
On X I also read about Cali’s Elderly Offender program for the 50+ crowd… it’s like no one has to stay in prison there for the crimes they commit.
It’s maddening, exhausting and down right depressing.
